Rapid, Safe, and Simple Preparation of PRP
Launched in 2007, the unique Arthrex ACP double syringe enables closed, rapid, and simple production of PRP.The Arthrex ACP double syringe enables closed, rapid, and simple production of PRP. No synthetic separation gels are used as the PRP is separated from the other blood components in a purely physical process. This system, which has been used successfully for many years, enables the production of approximately 5 - 6 ml of PRP with a platelet concentration that is about two and a half times increased over baseline, coupled with simultaneous separation of leukocytes and erythrocytes.
The clinical efficiency of this composition of PRP (ACP) has been demonstrated in an FDA-approved level 1 study, among others.5
In addition, the literature describes how the secretion of autologous hyaluronic acid is stimulated effectively by a platelet concentration in this range.6
Blood Collection
15 ml blood are drawn directly into the Arthrex ACP double syring.
Centrifugation
Centrifugation for five minutes.
PRP Injection
The ACP is drawn into the internal syringe.
The ACP can be injected directly from the syringe. If the ACP is injected within 30 minutes of being prepared, anticoagulant is not required.
